How to prepare for microneedling

• Remember, your skin is an investment! It’s required to use professional grade skincare products in your at-home regimen prior to starting your microneedling series. This guarantees safety of your skin and aids in achieving and maintaining results from this advanced treatment! Therefore, microneedling is NOT administered on new clients. You must have completed a consultation or be an established client prior to booking this service.
• Once you’re approved and scheduled for your microneedling session, it’s important to stop using your active products (such as retinol, AHAs and BHAs) at least 3 days prior to your treatment. 

What to avoid post microneedling

• Immediately after a Microneedling session, the skin will be red, tight, and irritated, like a moderate sunburn, for 24-48 hours. Mild flaking or shedding may occur for 3-5 days post treatment. It’s important to avoid direct sun exposure, excess heat, makeup application or excessive sweating for the first 24 hours post peel, and refrain from exfoliating the skin (which includes the use of actives such as retinol, AHAs and BHAs) for a full 7 days post treatment.

Products to use post microneedling

• It’s crucial to properly care for the skin during the healing process, therefore a post treatment skincare kit is included with this service which will include samples of professional grade products. Clients will utilize these products for the first 3-5 days post treatment to ensure the skin is receiving the proper nutrients as it heals.
